These are material samples I made long before the net was built, when I was experimenting with materials. The first is done with plastic bags, the second, ribbon with wire in it.

Thinking about weaving and grids as systems for drawing. At the sfmoma recently I saw Ruth Laskey's weavings. Really were like little textured drawing studies, especially after viewing Richard Serra's alternative definitions of drawing the floor below.
